Primary School Visit 

Gruyeres Medieval Town

We offer your pupils an interactive walking tour and a discovery experience that takes place in and around Gruyères old town.

 

The aim of this excursion is to enhance your school program and at the same time link children’s everyday experiences with history related topics. The focus is very much on stimulating their own interests while having fun with activities. All content and methods are attuned to the group.

  • Pupils discover the ancient timber and milk trades during a participative experience, especially adapted for younger pupils, and led by Georges, a qualified cultural guide and school teacher.

  • Pupils also learn about the history of Swiss chocolate,and participate in an authentic chocolate tasting activity.

  • To get rid of their energy, they can have some fun testing their ability in a games of antique skittles and marbles

The 'Parc aux Cerfs' play area is available and easily accessible for picnics.

Duration: 2 hours to a half-day (depending on activities, pauses, pupil ages and chosen itinerary)
